My feeling so far about the Biotech Foods issue is basically that at this point in time no clear cut decision can be arrived upon. The only articles I have read on the subject are purely contradictory. People on both sides of the Biotech debate bring up equally valid points. People for Biotech say it is safe because there products have been tested for safety previous to sending them out to the public, while the people against Biotech say no such testing occurs. In one article Biotech says that not a single illness has come from usage of there products and while nay sayers agree they also say it doesn't provide enough nutrients. I suppose the main question we’re getting at here is can something not from nature that has been genetically altered really be a good thing , just because people aren’t directly dieing or falling ill from it? I think the answer that I have to go with, for now at least until more information becomes available, is no. We live in a fast paced society with engineers coming up with fabulous new inventions everyday. But for right now I think the engineers should keep out of the kitchen.
