Posted by arthur coddington at December 20, 2004 06:30 AMTypical Bush to want Seniors to "invest" their Social Security. I have heard it said and by Republicans, that their main objective was to bankrupt America.....why not start with the folks who need money most? People better wake up. Bush may not say S_ _ _ t if he had a mouthful, but isn't lying considered a sin? This is the moral President, right? He wants Seniors to invest their money that they have worked all their lives for in to a program that could fail. Sounds to me like this "moral" president needs to look up the words care and compassion. I think those are two words he did not learn about in Sunday School.
Posted by: pupcake at December 20, 2004 08:19 PMUm...since when have "fiscal discipline" and the government been synonymous?? The people who are getting and will be screwed by SS are the young. By that I mean people under 40. People over 40 have all the power in this country and they WILL get their money out of SS. People under 40 will foot the back breaking bill and end up with nothing. SS has been a sacred cow for far too long. Its time that we made some HARD decisions that will help ALL Americans. Not just the old!
