bloghdad: no one writes on this blog anymore because it belonged to enzo baldoni, a journalist who was killed by terrorists in iraq on august 26 2004. the mysterious lui reports that baldoni's style is incredible and his life was spent reporting on war around the world. the photo on the first page is incredible.

macchianera: when the us government tried to whitewash its coldblooded attack on giuliana sgrena's car after she was rescued from her iraqi captors. nicola calipari was killed. rather than take responsibility for what happened, the us government again tried to sweep its dirty business under the rug. luckily, the government is not so clever in distributing redacted versions of its documents. macchianera, our blogger of the day, revealed the portions that were supposed to be hidden from view. good work! oh, and by the way guess who nominated this one...that's right, the editor who won't be an editor, lui.
