Alla mia famiglia “allargata”, che ha componenti in tutto il mondo, auguro un Natale ed un Nuovo Anno pieno di salute, felicitá, tranquillitá familiare, amici e vacanze, ed ogni cosa che possa renderla completamente “realizzata”.
E se tutto ciÚ sembra retorico, sdolcinato e scontato, bË, allora vuol dire che Vi auguro anche tanto amore, pace nel mondo e la risoluzione dei problemi che angustiano il nostro bislacco Pianeta.

RomaShred Indoor 2003
L’evento tenutosi a Roma il 6 Dicembre ultimo scorso Ë stato un incredibile successo, storico, oserei dire!
Nella palestra messa a disposizione per la competizione si sono affrontati, con la formula del Turboshred, 30 Freestylers Italiani, provenienti da varie cittá italiane.
All’indirizzopotrete consultare la classifica finale dell’evento, che ha visto trionfare il Grande Clay Collerá, seguito da Lorenzo Apriani e dagli altri grandi del Frestyle Italiano, ma che soprattutto ha visto partecipare uno stuolo inimmaginabile di nuovi Frestylers.
Un grazie a Lorenzo e Fernando, che hanno costruito tutto ciÚ, a Lui, che ha fatto da madrina e da organizzatrice del Torneo, a tutti i ragazzi arrivati da Milano, da Forli, da Trieste ed ai tanti spettatori che hanno assistito alla manifestazione.

Jake Gauthier: Ask Your Older Brother
Portland, Oregon’s Jake Gauthier is among the best freestylers yet to win a major title. Playing mostly with his younger brother Matt, Jake has risen steadily thruogh the ranks since 1997 to his current rank of #12. He has made the world championship pairs final for the past four years and placed as high as fourth.
In 2003, Jake teamed with Randy Silvey in pairs for “Back In Black,” one of the most talked-about routines of the year. They made a big splash in April, nailing the routine for second place at the World Beach tournament in Mission Beach, beating top seeds Arthur Coddington and Dave Lewis and narrowly missing out on first place to Dave Murphy and Dave Schiller. They followed up Mission Beach with top five finishes at both the World Disc Games and the FPA Worlds.
Not content to simply hone his skills, Jake and Matt have contributed to the sport by creating heinsville.com, hosting tournaments and marketing products like the Whiz Ring and custom freestyle nails.
Shrednow spoke to Jake while he rehabilitates his knee after a beach jamming injury.
Rankings: December 2003
As the year winds down, the year-end rankings are almost complete. There are only two more competitions (Tampico Open and Indoor Romashred) scheduled for 2003, and no more older competitions will fall off the rankings.
The biggest upward movers this month come from the only new result – the 2003 Arizona States. Arizona champion Randy Silvey scoots back into the top ten, shifting Pat Marron out of #9 by only 0.25 points. Silvey’s teammate Matt Gauthier, who hasn’t competed much in 2003, now has five solid results after his Arizona States win. It pays off as he moves back into the Top 20 at #19.
