Winning Moments: FPAW1993 – Open Pairs

Jonathan Willett and Mikey Reid snuck up on everyone in 1993, seedbusting to a late finals playing position, then seedbusting to the world championship title. They were in the zone the whole tournament. Their loose and relaxed finals performance epitomizes their mix of speedflow, co-op brushing and improv indies and showcases some of Mikey Reid’s trademark big air catches.

  1. i saw this tape in october 93 and was inspired to get out there and just play, use the space you have, mix up the flow with quick exchanges and extended indies and try not to make a catch in the same area of the field twice. In classic Colorado style these guys used a nice music change to hook the crowd and away they went.Mikey’s first brush combo to a spinning triple fake ROCKS….
