Sick Moves: Sune Wentzel Monster Hold

In this video courtesy of UKDiscstyle, Sune Wentzel delays the disc in the monster position. Set aside the fact that few of us can even get ourselves into the monster position, Sune is delaying the disc. Not only that, he’s moving the delay around, shifting and rotating his body. Not only that, try doing this move with Paul Kenny standing next to you in a pink shirt.

I’ve been trying to pull off a scarecrow and am finding it really hard. It’s really fustrating. I’ve been setting it up flat from a left hand delay and then trying to catch it with my right. Usually it hits my hand but i just cant do it! Any tips or advice would be great.

Sick Moves: Fabio At 2006 Vagolino

Fabio Sanna got into the zone during the Vagolino finals last weekend. Watching the videos that Matteo Gaddoni posted, I intended to go back and isolate a few of Fabio’s combos. They are too special not to share. Looks like Gaddoz and Paolo Magni were thinking the same thing. Last night, they sent me videos of the exact two combos I remembered, wondering if they should be put onto Shrednow in the sick moves section. The answer: absolutely!

Exhibit A (796k, QT): Upside down counter. Double over down to a right handed crank to a proteus swing directly into a catch. just the crank alone would be worth the price of admission.

Exhibit B (976k, QT): Invert hold to skid to some angle/brushwork, ending in a double spinning barrel gitis.

Nice moves, sir.

Andrea & Piccio Win Vagolino Despite Injury

more photos

Piccio Cusmá and Andrea Meola upset the favorites, Clay Collerá and Fabio Sanna, to win the 2006 Vagolino despite an injury to the leg of Piccio in an earlier round. I still haven’t heard the whole story, but it must have been a dramatic performance to overcome what sounds like a painful leg injury.
